Gua Sha is a technique that was developed centuries ago in Traditional Chinese Medicine to release toxins and relieve pain. Originally used for the body, it’s a flat, smooth tool used to scrape the skin and also helps to move Qi through the body to get rid of trapped tension, swelling, and pain. We love to use it the traditional way, as well as on the jaw, scalp, and, of course, face.

Gua Sha is a Traditional Chinese Medicine technique that focuses on a deeper facial and body massage to help firm the look of skin, improve circulation, and release tension.

By “scraping” the skin, Gua Sha helps to stimulate blood flow (yup, it always comes down to circulation) and pressure points. The stimulation of these points and the resulting increased circulation helps to relax tissues, boost energy, remove fluid and, best of all, give you glowing, dewy skin.
